Jenn and Garrett met at a bar in midtown through mutual friends over four years ago. Garrett asked Jenn out several times before she finally said yes. Their first date was Ju Hachi, a sushi restaurant. Garrett had shoulder length hair at the time and was so nervous, he made several comments about how it was parted and mentioned that he had even asked a friend if it looked ok. Jenn found it endearing and the two hit it off. They still spend every anniversary at Ju Hachi to reminisce. In fact, on their 4 year anniversary, in their apartment, on the way out the door to sushi, Garrett got down and one knee and proposed to Jenn. Garrett had actually booked a trip to Portland, Oregon, where he planned to propose, but he was so nervous and wanted to do it on their anniversary, that he decided do it right there and then. Jenn of course said yes and the rest is history, as they say. Jenn and Garrett were so fun to work with on their shoot and we had so much fun capturing their style and capturing the charm in downtown Sacramento.
